Pupils Help Food Bank

Mary Elton Primary School pupils have been helping those in need with a collection of food for the Foodbank charity.

During the Harvest assembly, various year groups performed songs, poems and prayers, as well as the EYFS classes joining the rest of the school for their first ever assembly.

Sue Reagan, a visitor from the Clevedon Foodbank, told the students where all the food would be going and headteacher Mr Hudd said that it demonstrated the school’s ‘Achievement by Caring’, which is the school motto, in action.

Teacher Cheryl Brown said: “Thank you to all of the parents and carers for sending in such a generous amount of donations, which will all be going toward a good cause. The children did an excellent celebration assembly.”
