Student's Amazing Fund Raising for Charity

Amazing Clevedon Learning Trust student thanked by UK cancer charity after raising £140 in a week.

The Clevedon School student Emma has been thanked for all her effort and hard work by a Cancer Relief Charity ‘Clic Sergent’ after raising £140 in a week.

She promoted the ‘Band Against Cancer’ campaign by selling arm bands to pupils at her school and speaking in assemblies.

Emma also goes that extra mile and volunteers at the local branch of CLIC as part of her Duke of Edinburgh course.

The manager, Angela O’Brien said Emma is an amazing team member.

Headteacher Jim Smith said: “This is a tremendous thing for Emma to do and she deserves huge praise. Our school places a massive emphasis upon helping the community and kindness.”
