Clevedon School Career Fair 2022

After a two-year enforced gap, the event returned as popular as ever and saw 100’s of school students, their families and members of the local community engaging with guest exhibitors from across the region discussing potential career, educational and training opportunities. Both exhibitors and visitors alike were extremely impressed by the Careers’ Fair commenting on the strength of organisation that allowed for such a successful evening. The exhibitors also expressed how impressed they were with the politeness, enthusiasm and interest shown by the students as they visited their stands and discussed the pathways on offer. Families spoke of the wide and varied selection of exhibitors and how there was “something for everybody” in terms of information and support.

Mark Davies, Head of Careers and Destinations for the Clevedon Learning Trust who, with Ellen Marsh, Clevedon School’s Careers Advisor, organised the event, described how: “Both Ellen and I are really pleased with today’s Careers Fair. After a two-year absence there was some uncertainty as to exhibitors’ availability and visitor reaction however it has been a true success. We have been blown away with the positive comments and feedback we have received from exhibitors, students and their families. Walking through the fair this evening we have listened onto so many constructive conversations as our students have seized the initiative to meet employers, services, colleges and universities and gain invaluable guidance as to their future opportunities.”
