Debate Champions

Clevedon School’s inspirational winners of the North Somerset Schools Parliamentary Debating competition toured Westminster with local MP Liam Fox in celebration of their achievement. 

The students toured the Houses of Parliament; had lunch with the Deputy Speaker and then attended a live Parliamentary debate in the afternoon. 

The incredible students had won three first prize trophies at a prestigious debating competition - for the first time since 1999.

Jo Carrington, Head of English said: "This was such a fantastic experience for our students, especially as they are so interested in politics and how to have voice in today's world."
