Chestnut Park Build Has Begun
Building work has started on Chestnut Park Primary School - as an information event for residents to hear about the exciting plans is scheduled for Monday 9th December.
The new school, based in Yatton’s North End, is due to open September 2020 and will be run by the Clevedon Learning Trust.
Initially there will be a Reception class and a Year 1/2 class with a nursery opening later, when there is sufficient demand.
The next Chestnut Park information event is taking place at Horsecastle Chapel on Monday 9th December, between 4 and 6pm.
It will be a drop-in session that will provide an opportunity to find out more about how Chestnut Primary School is going to be run.
John Wells, CEO of the CLT, said: ‘I am delighted that work to build Chestnut Park has begun and I look forward to seeing the new school take shape over the coming months.
“The lead up to September 2020 is going to be an exciting time as the Trust implements its plans for making this an Outstanding school at the heart of the local community.”
Applications for Reception places should be made through the North Somerset school admissions website, while applications for Year 1 and Year 2 should be made here.
