What do we offer?
Early Careers Pathways: SEP, ITT, NQT & RQT
The Clevedon Learning Trust Teaching School Alliance works very closely with Trust schools and local HEI's in order to recruit and retain teachers for the next generation.
This start with the School Experience Programme; a day or series of days where those interested in becoming a teacher can come into any of our schools to learn more about being a teacher. Please see our Events Page for more information.
If you've decided to become a teacher we have a Clevedon Cluster of primary schools working with Bath Spa University and a Bridgwater Cluster of primary schools working with Somerset SCITT. In addition to this Clevedon School is working very closely with Chilton Trinity to further develop both PGCE and School Direct training routes.
Our Early Careers Pathways are specialised and unique to the CLT. Please use this link to find out more.
Our development of ITT, NQT and RQT programmes in our schools has led us to create a series of events and courses that enable future leaders to develop further in their roles. Please see the Events Page for more information.
In our schools we are developing a course focused on Wellbeing called 'Brain Smart'; this is aimed primarily at the students in all our schools, but has a strong impact on the staff as it uses techniques that all are able to use. It has been running in Yeo Moor Primary for the last two years and is a successful course for all involved. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested in finding out more.
CLT TSA also have a highly successful CsPD programme in all Trust schools. Please see the Learning Hubs page for more information.
As part of the CsPD programme we have also a very strong Research initiative in our schools. This is focused on Action Research. Please email email@example.com for more information.
Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE's)
CLT Teaching School is pleased to annouce we are recruiting system leaders to strengthen our school improvement team.
SLEs are excellent middle and senior leaders, with at least two years’ leadership experience. They have a particular area of expertise and a successful track record of school improvement. Please see https://www.gov.uk/guidance/specialist-leaders-of-education-a-guide-for-potential-applicants for more information. Please contact Vivienne Wadsley at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to find out more about the SLE Programme.
