Shoe Box Appeal
Inspirational Clevedon Learning Trust students send record number of shoe boxes to help East European families.
Big hearted staff and students at Clevedon School have yet again sent out hundreds of shoeboxes to Eastern Europe and Pakistan.
It is the seventh year students and staff done the shoebox appeal, and their biggest number yet with 209 shoeboxes packed with a variety of helpful things for those in poverty abroad.
The boxes include moisturising cream, comb/brushes, sanitary products and shaving foam/razors, as well as household candles, screwdrivers/pliers, kitchen utensils, underwear socks/tights and much more.
Teacher and organiser Rose North said: “Our students and staff have once again shown how caring and charity-minded they are with a huge feat in the shoebox appeal. We are delighted to have broken our record.”
