Second Excellent Report for Tickenham

High achieving Clevedon Learning Trust pupils are celebrating after their second excellent inspection report and after topping the county’s league tables - all in under a month.

Tickenham CofE Primary School have been given a glowing report by Ofsted inspectors who say it is Good with many Outstanding features.

The school’s personal development, behaviour and welfare, and Early Years provision was Outstanding.

And they noted that ‘Leaders, governors and staff share a fierce pride in the school'.

It follows on from an Outstanding report earlier this month, where they were given almost full marks, which is extremely rare, across all areas after a Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS).

The school also topped the North Somerset league table for its KS2 SATS with one of Britain’s best performances, coming 279th in the country out of over 12,000 primary schools.

Now Ofsted have followed up with another fantastic inspection report.

Of Head of School Tristan Merriam, inspectors said: “Since his appointment, the head of school has galvanized the community of staff, parents and governors to share his vision for the school to continue to improve'.

They also said that ‘There is nothing small about this school' and that ‘Parents are highly positive about the ethos of the school'.

Tickenham Primary School is based in a picturesque part of North Somerset. It has its own dog Gatsby.

Tristan said: "I am delighted that we have been recognised for being a good school with many outstanding features.

“The whole school team have done us proud yet again, but most of all the pupils for surviving an Ofsted inspection during the last week of the Christmas term!

“We have spaces available in many year groups - please do come and look around if you are thinking of moving.”
