School Grown Organic Vegetables for Sale

Green-fingered pupils and parents at a picturesque Clevedon primary school are growing and selling organic vegetables.

Tickenham Church of England Primary School pupils are bringing learning alive by growing a range of vegetables at the school including cabbages, carrots and runner beans.

Then they are selling it on to raise more money to pay for inspiring school equipment.

They are also able to teach pupils vital life lessons of how to bounce back from failures if their vegetable patches fail to grow.

The school is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of North Somerset with acres of farmland for pupils to enjoy.

Co Head Teacher Tristan Merriam said: "We are so excited about our latest project which is growing organic vegetables on site. We have such a beautiful site and the children and parents are putting it to fantastic use."
