Fortnight of Dance Festivals

Incredible Clevedon School dancers wow audiences with four dance festivals over two weeks.

Amazing dance students from Clevedon School have been thrilling crowds with some exceptional performances.

They performed in two evenings at the North Somerset Schools Dance and PE Festival at Weston Playhouse, Spring Forward Dance Festival at the Tacchi Morris Theatre in Taunton and at their own Dance Festival in Waterhouse Hall at Clevedon School.

Students across years 7-13 represented the school and Dance department showcasing class work, Elite Team pieces and GCSE/A Level/BTEC exam pieces impressing audiences across all venues.

Teacher of Dance and Drama Kellie Mockford said: “Our students have worked incredibly hard pulling all pieces together ready for the festivals.

“They have all thoroughly enjoyed the experiences and we have has positive feedback from all festivals commenting on the high quality performance pieces seen on stage”.

Exam students have now all completed and excelled in their practical exams and students are now busy preparing for the North Somerset Dance Festival which will take place at Princes Hall in Clevedon and our BTEC Musical Theatre Showcase during the summer term.
