First days at Northgate Primary School

Bridgwater children thrive in first days in one of Britain's best school buildings

Children have started their first few days at Northgate Primary School - in one of Britain's best school buildings.

The Reception, Year 1 and 2 children have been enjoying their incredible £6 million facilities.

The school, part of the Clevedon Learning Trust, has extensive state-of-the-art facilities, giant Smart TVs, dance studios, breakfast club and after school provision.

It has proved so popular there are only a few spaces left.

The CLT has also welcomed Westover Green Community Primary School and Puriton Prmary School to its family of schools this summer while Chilton Trinity also has an Academy Order to join the CLT sometime in 2018.

Executive Headteacher Heather Good, who will also oversee Westover Green Community School, said: "Wow - these children are just so lucky to be educated in facilities as fantastic as this. They are so happy, confident and we all look forward to each and every day."

The school currently has 43 children and the plan is for a new class to start each year until the school reaches its 420 capacity.

CEO John Wells added: "Everyone is so delighted at welcoming these wonderful children into such fabulous facilities."
