Brilliant Clevedon School students go through to the final in prestigious debating competition.
Rory McGuigan and Jack Banks debated to qualify for the final at Churchill Academy, after impressing judges and articulately arguing for the government for the motion of GM crops solving world hunger.
The judges included Dr Helen Harper from the Plant Science Faculty at the University of Bristol.
Jo Carrington, Subject Coordinator for English, said: “We are so proud of our students - this was a fantastic achievement. I am looking forward to the final in January and what they can achieve."
