Award for Mary Elton Primary School
Clevedon Learning Trust pupils are celebrating again after their school received an international award.
The pupils at Mary Elton Primary School have had a run of amazing achievements including award nominations and other successes.
Now they have been awarded an International School Award by the British Council in recognition that the international dimension is very clearly a valued and integral part of their curriculum.
The award demonstrates how the school promotes citizenship and celebrates cultural diversity across the school and wider community.
Mary Elton has links with schools in France, Tanzania and Reunion providing rich and stimulating learning opportunities for their pupils to communicate with and exchange information with their peers in other countries.
Head Teacher Dean Hudd said: "We are thrilled with this latest award. We value enriching our students with so many activities and experiences and want them to have a global perspective on life and learning."
The award organisers wrote: "The international dimension at Mary Elton is very clearly a valued and integral part of your curriculum, staff professional development provision and whole-school ethos, promoting citizenship and celebrating cultural diversity across the school and wider community."
