John Wells, CEO

John is an experienced headteacher and National Leader of Education with over 20 years experience of taking schools on their journey to Outstanding. He mentors and coaches MAT leaders, headteachers, working with secondary and primary schools across the region in his role as a School Improvement Adviser.  

Zoë Elder, Director of Professional Learning & Curriculum Development 

Zoë  is a published author, national trainer, coach and keynote speaker who works with schools around the UK. She is a former Senior LA Adviser and Senior Leader with experience in all phases of schools. She leads the CLT school improvement and Learning Hub development programmes, building professional capacity through our collaborative partnerships and bespoke leadership training and action research programmes.

Matthew Pinnock, Director of Finance and Operations
Matthew has a background of advising a number of multi academy trusts, of various sizes across the South West. He brings a wealth of financial expertise as a qualified chartered accountant and works within the team to ensure value for money is achieved across the Clevedon Learning Trust.

 

Ann Walsh, HR Advisor

Ann has 28 years HR experience within the public sector and has spent the last nine years providing pragmatic and solution focused  HR support to primary and secondary schools.  

Rhona Allgood, Project Manager

Rhona's background is in chemical engineering. More recently she has used her project leadership skills to ensure schools make a seamless transition through the academisation process. She also has extensive school governance and MAT director experience.

Heather Good, Director of Primary School Improvement

Heather is an experienced Headteacher, Local Leader of Education and National Pupil Premium Reviewer. She has been a Headteacher for 18 years with experience of schools in challenging circumstances and with specialist resource provision. She has supported many schools with school improvement strategies, leadership coaching and staff development.

 

School Support

Anne Pritchard, Strategic Lead for KS2 

Anne has taught in KS2 for 30 years and in that time was an upper KS2 phase leader, a member of the SLT, Achievement for All lead, an LEA moderator, Key Stage 2 SAT lead  and  NQT mentor. 

 

As Key Stage 2 Strategic Lead Anne is facilitating network opportunities for staff to design, support, share and deliver exciting learning opportunities across the Trust and within their own schools.

Tor Zakaria, Strategic Lead for Pupil Premium

Tor has been a teacher for 17 years and for the past 6 years has been a leader for inclusion in a secondary school and primary school. Her current school has been awarded the Achievement for All Quality Lead Status in recognition of their work around inclusion. As Lead for Pupil Premium, Tor works with schools and their senior leaders in the Clevedon Learning Trust to develop their work around inclusion.

 

Ros Pegg, Strategic Lead for SEND & Inclusion

Ros taught French and held senior pastoral roles before moving into special education needs.  She was the SENCO and Head of Student Support at Clevedon School for 15 years. She has delivered training to education and health care professionals and a has wide experience of inter-agency work.  Ros now works with our CLT partner schools, advising SENDCOs and senior leaders on SEND and promoting inclusive practice

 

 

 

Business Support

Will Iredale, ICT Manager 

Will has eighteen years experience of school and education ICT. He has worked for Clevedon Learning Trust for two years to manage and provide IT support for all of our schools.

Mark Nelson, Project Officer

Mark has over ten year's experience of coordinating a wide variety of multi-school projects, both in the primary and secondary phases.  

 

Mark coordinates our Creative and Cultural Programme, as well as supporting schools with their websites.

Michaela Hearn, Finance Manager

Michaela has over eighteen years’ experience in primary and secondary education.  She manages the central finance function provision for all our schools.

Siobhan Ryan, Data and Information Systems

Siobhan has over fourteen years experience managing school IT and data systems and was a secondary school Governor for eight years. Siobhan provides support on the effective use of the Trust schools' data and assessment systems.
